Genesis 3:9

This evening, I'd love to remind us of the words in Genesis 3:9:
And the Lord God called out to the man, "Where are you?"

Where are you in this lane of life? What is it that your eyes has 'opened up to', that you feel the need to sew stuff on over yourself with cosmetics, clothes, pride, lies, religion, money, titles? What is it that is making you (today) hide from the presence of God? ...because this evening, that is the one question God is asking you "Where are you?".

Not the 'you' that you have boggled down with facades/money/make up/pain/ fear/ doubt/ envy... But the you He covered with glory. The 'you' He sent for His Son to die on the cross. The you He calls forgiven, healed, blessed, mighty, highly favored, loved. The you He calls "My Own".

It is you that He is looking for standing naked and unashamed.
