Dear Men
Dear Men,
Maybe we as the society, parents, siblings, daughters, sons, friends, spouses, potential lovers, lovers...
Maybe we are to blame for the increasing patterns of feminization among you.
It might be the expectations of strength we've placed on you
Or that intrinsic need to protect, provide, and lead (priest) we sought from y'all
That has decoyed this trend...
It might be from how 'we' fought for the rights of women
Or treated them with a certain fragility that exerted the feeling of partiality...
That made you feel like, you desire to be us...
And for all this, I am sorry.
I am sorry for the days 'we' didn't 'allow' you to break in public (or private)...
I am sorry for the days 'we' pushed too hard...
I am sorry for any moment that life has positioned you in a place you thought you had to LEAVE
your identity as a man, for you to be "emancipated", for you to be 'free'...
Truth is we LOVE us, some MANLY men.
I love me, a MANLY man...
Them broad shoulders, the husky voice, the strength in character, the objective viewpoints, innate
solution providers, the musky scent, the surge of testosterone, mh!! We (I) love it ALL.
We NEED it.
For a man who desires to be a woman (in body and stature)
For a man who is sexually attracted to another man...
For the transgender, the queer, the gay, homosexuals... I dare throw in the lesbians,
I am not sure what life has thrown at you, that made you feel the need to camouflage,
To fight the natural order of things (and I am sure there something life threw at you);
But you should know,
You see that predicament that imposed on your psychology, that thing that pushed you and made
you think that you have to assume a different identity/ sexual orientation
Imagine, it is a predicament that life throws at e.v.e.r.y.o.n.e. in one state, shape, or form...
Imagine you are not/ were not alone going through it...
Imagine, life gives us all lemons and its only us, as individuals, who decide whether we going to
soak through the bitterness of lemons, or make lemonades, or put some salt on the palms of
our hands and take it with gulps of Tequila and vodkasky...
Elijah in the book of 1st Kings 18:22, stood in the presence of his own adversaries, ALONE.
Mentally, he was alone. Physically he was alone AND he put them (foes) on a challenge.
On 1st Kings 19:10, dude petitioned his case with God... throughout this chapter he did.
And it was up till verse 18, God revealed to him that there were 7,000 MORE
Israelites whose knees had NOT bowed to a foreign god or their lips kissed to him. 7,000.
So, for some reason, you might (really) have been alone.
Going through that drama, you went through, or maybe it's a feeling.
Whatever the case, please put your adversaries to a challenge?
Please petition your case with God? We love us MANLY men.
We long for an army of men who are unafraid of their calling as fathers, husbands,
sons, brothers, uncles, grandfathers, friends, colleagues.
People who seek to love and protect for the welfare of their own and the world at large.
We LOVE you.
