Eventually, You'll Learn

... eventually, you learn...
You learn that life and love
are gifts that come from God

You can wake up everyday,
feeling like being healthy and alive
Is something that you can hack easily/ normally throughout the day
But eventually, you'll learn...

You will learn also
that family and friends
are people whom you don't turn yo back against
No matter what...
It is not a chore/rule/expectation...
It is just there- An unwritten dogma

Oh yeah, eventually you learn too
the subtle difference between
just holding a hand - and chaining a soul
you learn that love does not mean leaning
and company does not mean security
you begin to understand
that kisses aren't contracts
and that presents aren't promises

You begin to appreciate life
In a whole new level...
You begin to build your roads on the basis of today
Not the elusive yesterday
Or blurred tomorrow...

You begin accepting your defeats head high
With the grace of an adult
Not the grief or regret of a child

You begin to learn the art of loving yourself
the art of going out to the world and being a friend
rather than waiting for the world to be your friend

Eventually you learn
that it is okay to depend on people
But not too much, because
Not even the people can depend on themselves

Eventually you learn
That tomorrow is not entitled to anyone
And it is okay to be afraid
it is okay to hurt or get angry

It is okay to mourn for the people 
you have lost at the face cancer, HIV/AIDS, road accidents...
I know it's painfully, it is hurting
But eventually, you will learn

You will learn that you really can endure
You really are strong and that God loves you...
Eventually, you learn, to appreciate, 
and you learn... and you learn... and you learn...
 
With every goodbye that stumbles your way...
You learn...

You learn that you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you
